Guest Androider86
Hello there people of Modaco, I was just wondering if there was a safe way to root a Samsung Galaxy SII, and if there is, please could you post a thread/instructions on how it is done. I am based in the UK & I have a black SII: Model number- GT-I9100 Android version- 4.0.4 Baseband version- I9100XXLQ6 Kernel version- 3.0.15-I9100XWLPT-CL941023 dpi@DELL169 #3 SMP PREEMPT Fri Jul 27 18:08:15 KST 2012 Build number- IMM76D.XWLPT I have looked everywhere & can't find a reasonable answer, only people saying it's impossible. Many thanks for your time, I really appreciate any help.

Guest oscrofki
I have exactly the same kernel, etc on my S2 and I rooted it last week and it worked fine. Can be done without flashing from a zip file loaded on the SDCard with standard kernel. http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1746794
