Hi,

I bought my ascend g300 a few days ago, and i noticed that it shows in settings that the phone has 384MB RAM (i expect it to show 512MB...)

is this normal? lol. I called the shop where i bought this phone from, and they said thats a normal thing.

or are there versions of this phone with only 384MB ram?

You mean under Settings > Apps > Running Processes? I see 267MB used + 119 free = 386MB total. As far as I know the RAM available to you for apps etc. is less than the physical RAM installed because the system (radio interface layer?) takes some of the physical RAM "behind the scenes". See this thread for example:

Update: post crossed with previous one.
