Try it and let us know

I can't I'm scared as this is my phone for 4 years and I'm not a developer but if people say it's safe and when I get a way to flash a bricked xolo I'll... Also people like Ricky, fibblesan can say whether it's true or not by checking... Let them give a verdict... If you know them please pass it on and find what they think please....

I doubt it will work. It looks like it's for a HTC to me especially as it's uses unrevoked

But can we port it to xolo??? I mean using xolo kernel...

What's R and D?

Research and development.... They have been testing and tweaking the rom for like ages... And I really hope everything is fixed....

There's a surprise...

Like I said it's what the guy tells me and last time he said it'll surely be out by 10th... Let me see tomorrow... I don't care how long it takes as long as they it's a perfect rom... This is our last update and I want it to be perfect as our camera sucks... I was at this party with my friend who has an s3 and the pictures in that was mind blowing... I know that you might think it's the Hardware but really a major change can be made using the software... I just want the gingerbread features in jb with ics quality... And we have the same hardware as that of s2 according to some techies...

Ics= root & sd card

Jellybean= locked down & no sd card

I think I wont be the only one staying put until if ever, root is achieved again.

Not overly bothered about sd card and root, more occupied with having a more up to date OS. The one thing that really annoys me is that networks and OEMs take ages to update, so I think I'll stick to nexus devices from now on, as their updates appear on day of launch or a day later

No Signal Boost either if you're still with Orange.

It's because you don't have the 27mb update... After that I have considerable signal boost... Me not rooted or anything...

Eh?

Signal Boost is a specialised app from Orange, that lets you use Wifi to makes calls instead of the mobile network - for when there's not enough coverage. It's not available as standard on the OSD, but if you root the phone you can copy the APK over and enable the feature.

Guys I called him and he says that the port is all ready and they've even given it it's signature as in compiled, compressed and signed but the shitheads at xolo aren't going to release it I don't know why... But I still have hope for 10th as he says it's xolo who said by 10th...

The 27MB update improves the cell radio at it updates firmware but obviously it cannot be rooted :(

My post was aimed at our Xolo X900 friend, who was responding to BlueMoonRising who explained we'll lose the Signal Boost app on Orange... and Mr Xolo X900 seemed to not be aware of this app, and instead responded about an improved signal in general - from a modem firmware upgrade.

My head's spinning now

..And we've been here many times before. People saying JB is coming... and it doesn't. Please don't post hearsay unless you know for definite. If your friend really does work for Xolo, and he knows just how far along the firmware is - there should be no problems for him to "obtain" a copy of the signed update file ;) :P Until then... it ain't happening!

I know of the signal booster app if you mean the one in aio tool... I have rooted my ideos and have installed a cm7.1 on it... But I'm not interested in rooting xolo due to the lack of custom roms... someone I met recently and have been in contact with... He calls the R&D and informs about the status of the rom... Anyway last time he called them they said to look for it by March 10th but now they are giving him the same response too we will inform you... And I can't ask him that and even if he asks they won't give it as he is only a sales head and nothing more... If he was a top official then okay but there is no use...
