seamie 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2014 Hi all, I have been using G300 for over a half of year. It worked very well so far. But two days ago the speaker stoped working so I can't hear anyone during conversation (but they can hear me ...). Does anybody know what is going on ? I have a stock Android 4.0.3 (build: B952). dalyer 254 Report post Posted March 12, 2014 What about headphones/headset? Might simply be that your internal speaker is dead.
seamie 0 Report post Posted March 13, 2014 What about headphones/headset? Might simply be that your internal speaker is dead. Headphones are working without any problem. This is why I asked: if hardware is suspected or software (Android) ? I have quite old version of Android ...
dalyer 254 Report post Posted March 13, 2014 If it stopped working all of the sudden the it's obvious to suspect a hardware rather than firmware problem. The fact that your Android is old is almost certainly irrelevant if it was working before but then just stopped. You could try another ROM just to rule out a firmware/ROM issue. I don't know how else to test. I can't see any internal speaker tester/diagnostic apps on the Play Store but maybe something does exist that might help.
