Hi guys, I'm on the AT&T network in the US.

I have searched on ALL 24 pages of this post, but I can't find the settings for an i-mate smartphone 2. I have seen the settings for the mpx 200 and the e200, so don't go flaming me yet. I got the phone working on the internet, I can use messenger and all that; but, I can not send an MMS even if my life depended on it. There are no errors, nothing. The messages get stuck in the outbox and then a red X appears on top of it. I have tried copying the mpx200 settings, nothing, the e200 settings, and still nothing. If ANYONE has a phone like this, please post the settings, it will be much appreciated.

After reading all the posts, and yes, there are a ton of them, I am looking for GPRS settings for:

Cingular in Virginia (if it so deliniated to the state)

Suncom in Virginia " "

AT&T in Virginia " "

I have tried the various settings supplied on this site and found none to work for me.....maybe I am missing something.

Suncom has my phone activated for GPRS etc.....

Itis an SMT 5600, unlocked and dialing great!

HELP!!!!

Thanks

  • 2 weeks later...

If you are after Network settings go to the clubimate site, register, which is free then via device support you will be able to downlodd you operator sattings as .CAB's that can be transferred to your handsets and installed.

This is primarily for imate devices.

Hi all.

I have managed to get my c500 working for sending and receiving MMS, but am still struggling with the gprs and wap settings for accessing the internet, msn messenger and my e-mails.

Does anyone know the settings for VODAFONE SPAIN?

Any help will be much appreciated, :)

Many Thanks,

Jim

Here are the Cingular Settings using the $19.99 unlimited data MediaNet service. Media Works is WAP only but internet access is gained via a proxy. Any setting you have seen using ISP.CINGULAR will not work and may be what was causing most problems. Those settings are used for the GPRS Connections on Data cards or higher rate GPRS Data plans.

Here ya go...all tested and work great!

Media Works package connections on SMT 5600

1) Goto Data Connections

Start>Settings>More>Data Connections

2) Delete all existing connections so there is no chance of a conflict

Menu>Edit Connections>Proxy Connections>Menu>Delete>Done

GPRS Connections>Menu>Delete>Done

...repeat until all are gone. Click DONE

3) Next create a WAP Connection

GPRS Connections>Menu>Add

Description: Cingular WAP

Access Point: WAP.CINGULAR

Username: [email protected]

Password: CINGULAR1

Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0

Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0

IP Address:

...click DONE...click DONE

4) Next you need to create a proxy connection that will point any program trying to access GPRS to WAP

Proxy Connections>Menu>Add

Description: proxy

Connects from: WAP Network

Connects to: The Internet

Proxy(name:port):

Type: HTTP

Username:

Password:

...click DONE...DONE

5) On the Data Connections screen change the following to:

Internet Connection: GPRS (Cingular WAP)

Work Connection: Automatic

WAP Connection: GPRS (Cingular WAP)

Secure WAP connection: Automatic

...click DONE

6) Change your Internet Explorer Settings

Goto Internet Explorer>Menu>Options>Connections

Uncheck: Automatically detect settings

Select network: WAP Netowrk

...click DONE

7) Change your email settings

Whenever you create a new POP email account in Options>Account Setup

The Network should be set to WAP Network to be able to send/receive email

8) Change MMS Settings

Start>Configurations>MMS Settings:

Check: Retrieve Immediately

No of attempts: 3

Connect Via: WAP Network

Photo Resolution: Original Resolution

Click Menu>MMSC Settings

Menu>New

Name: Cingular

MMSC URL: http://mmsc.cingular.com

WAP Gateway: 66.209.11.61

Port: 9201

...click Done

...click Menu>Set as Default

Turn off phone...back on again.

Everything works great!!!

Tried to follow on the procedure on how to set up the SMART GPRS and MMS available on their website. But for some reason on my WAP connection, none is available although I have set up Smart WAP GPRS already. Is this something do with the set up I just made?

Does anyone have T-Mobile for the US?

T-Mobile referred me to this website, but I still cannot get my device to work:

http://www.t-mobile.com/help/services/tz/config.asp

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

The setting for T-mobile USA are correct on this page and my email application works with this one however unless you have their actual data plan (not the unlimited t-zone plan) the pocket internet, MSN messanger and other such application will not work now a days. Some how they have managed to stop http web access from the DNS server on t-zone customers. It works only for the data customers. T-zone customers are allowed only wap access to the web pages.
