Parallax the problem isn't the roms...the problem is the QVGA version of the Mame you have made,look some screenshots from QVGA phone and my MPx200.

The smartphones that they aren't QVGA have the problem,there must be a way to make a NON QVGA version!!Please...help us!

yeh!! thats what i want to know!!

i have origianal mame with about 1000 games, i downloaded the spv emulator for mame, and put some of the origianal mame roms in to the same folder as the mame exe, and also tryed to put the games in a folder called roms, the same as in the origianal!!

ok!!

in the folder program files/mame/ is the exe only!!

is there supposed to be any other files in there, or do you only need the exe to make mame work??

it opens, then you go to select/load rom, but the list is empty!!

please advise,

im not a techi or anything, so english would be appreciated!!

cheers!!

Spipis - First off I mainly monitor my own thread for new posts...so please try and use that thread for comments on my emus. I try to respond there as regularly as I can and supply updates to my emus on request of the members. Posting copies of my emus here is not a good idea and will become out of date quickly.

If you read my other thread...you will gather that my emus are primarily re-coded for the QVGA screens, although in most cases I do try to make them compatible with non-QVGA phone as I have done with PocketSNES, PicoDrive and PocketGnuboy. MameCE3 will be next on my list once I have finished another emu I am presently working on. Plus this problem has already been pointed out by another member.

farmski, Dr_StrangeTrick -

As a standard rule for my emus and probably other apps is to create a separate folder on your phone or memory card for each app and then to unzip the *.exe and *.dll into that folder. Create a subfolder called ROMS and place all your roms files there in their zip format.

For mameCE you should have something like...

MameCE {folder}

|MameCE3.exe

|FileDialogSP.dll

|--->ROMS {folder}

|1942.zip

|etc...

v

If you read my other thread you would have come across this.

Not all Mame ROMS will work with this emu due to hardware limitations and version of ROM files. Only 0.36 version roms are compatible according to the MameCE3 web forum. MameCE's game list will pickup ROMS that are compatible and if they don't then its because they are the wrong version, wrong filename or wrong location.

If you have any further questions, please use my other thread.

Parallax.
