Guest teride
I sent myself an email with an attached excel worksheet. I can view the worksheet via Clearvue however I have no option to save it anywhere. Anyone know if it's possible to save attachments & if so how or what additional software do I need? Thanks, Tde

Guest teride
Thanks!! I originally thought that Attachsmart saved only "word" documents. I was able to save the attached excel worksheet--I just had to rename the file replacing the .ATT extension with .XLS & it worked. I could even save to the SD disk vs the phone memory!! Teri Normally you don't even need to change the file extension. Here is how to do: 1) In AttachSmart, select "Save Document". When you see the message, do NOT select OK (yet). Instead, select HOME. Open Inbox, open the mail that has the attachment, then open the attachment. 2) If the attachment cannot be opened (e.g. .XLS file), you will get a message telling that no program can open this type of document. DO NOT SELECT OK in this message box. Instead, go to HOME and return to AttachSmart, and now select OK. 3) Select the .XLS file, then select the folder where you want to save it (in the phone or on an SD Card). Let us know if that works. It's over two years now since these instructions have been given. I was just wondering if they are still good. I have a T-Mobile SDA running Windows Mobile 5. The registry has been configured to use the SD Card for email attachments, Pocket IE temp files, etc. I can attach a file using AttachSmart. However, I cannot seem to save any file (.doc, .pdf., etc.). Whenever I go back to AttachSmart after opening up the attachment (which has now been opened by ClearVue), I select OK, but I just get a screen with nothing to select. The ATTACHMENTS box is blank, and I switch the Type: to ANY, but there is still nothing for me to select. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
