To All,

I have just been informed by a friend of mine that his E200 is working well with Parrot CK3000 Bluetooth Car Kit on the latest firmware.!!

HOOOOORRAAAAAYYYYYYY  :D :(

Im gonna buy the upgrade kit and update my CK3000 so that I can see it for my own eyes.

Obviously the voice and contacts synchronisation doesnt work but he has told me that he can make and receive calls perfectly.

If anyone wants me to update their CK3000 to the latest firmware rather than everyone paying £50 then I will happily do for a Small Fee + Postage.

I will post my own detailed results when I upgarde my CK3000

Guy's

I have an upgrade kit, and have flashed to the latest firmware (3.11).

I am sorry to tell you that I still have problems with the E200 and Parrot.

I have emailed Parrot and here is what they have said:

Dear Sir,

We have noticed some flaws in the Bluetooth implementation of the SPV E200.

This problem is known by Orange people and unfortunately there is not much we can do on the CK3000 side until the SPV E200 software is fixed.

Unfortunately there is no way to download the phonebook from the SPV E200.

Best Regards,

We will have to wait for the E200 update, before Bluetooth starts to work correctly

Hi mate,

What exactly doesnt work because I am only worried about making and receiving calls 100%. I know the voice dialling and phonebook sync wont work but im not interested in that.

Just being able to make successfull calls that would be a start. And my mate has told me he could do that fine on his new CK3000. Also there is someone else posted a reply on Parrot forum that also says his e200 works fine making and receiving calls.

I have just installed the CK3000 software version 3.11 into my renault Scenic. It was very easy to install as the radio has the required ISO connections.

I am using the Orange SPVE200 through the UK network. The phone connects easily to the unit via bluetooth and speach is very clear through the speakers.

Functionality with the CK3000 seems to be very limited. You are able to receive calls using the remote and also hang up calls with the remote. There however seems to be no phone book synchronisation, volume control or voice dialling. Therefore to make a call out you have to dial on the phone itself which means that you cannot do this legally in the UK.

Even though there are a lack of working functions on the kit, I am pleased with the CK300 and SPVE200 as I am now able to legally and safely receive hands free calls. I am sure that over time things will improve with later software releases, however I believe that some of the missing features are more down to the microsoft software rather than being down to Parrot.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Ive ordered upgrade kit anyway from expansys but there out of stock for 2 days so time will tell.

Hi,

I seem to find that the phone pairs and works - for a while, then stops. It seems to lose the pairing randomly!.

It also seems to need pairing each time I get in the car, which is OK for a while, then just gets to be a pain.

I will try it again, and let you know how I get on.

Try here

http://www.mobiland.co.uk

for an upgrade kit, they are £16 inc.

Good Luck

Update:

Tried it today, and here is what I have found so far:

Bluetooth ON:

Pairs OK

Makes calls via handset and kit works.

Will NOT recieve calls, at all.

Bluetooth DISCOVERY:

Pairs OK

Makes calls via handset and kit works.

Recieves calls with 10 sec delay, and is a little flaky!.

If you already have a Parrot Kit, then its woth a try at £16 for the update cable, BUT dont go and buy a full kit just yet, wait for the E200 BT update.

Cheers

Well,

I have upgraded to v3.12, and its still not good.

All works fine for a while, first 5 mins, but if you have been traveling for half hour or so, the phone can ring and parrot will not pick up.

I have tried it on both BT = ON and BT = Discoverable with no luck.

Its as though Bluetooth goes to sleep on the e200, when it detects that it is not being used.

Bluetooth on the e200 is utter s***!, how they got away with advertising that the phone was compatable with other bluetooth devices, i will never know.

Its time MS and Orange sorted this out!, its just not funny anymore!

LETS HAVE THE BLOODY THING DO WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN !!

As promised here is my findings and the news is very good.

THE SPV E200 WORKS FINE WITH CK3000 WITH v3.12 FIRMWARE  :D :(

As before on my old firmware I can make calls via the E200 fine. Obviously voice dialling and phonebook sync desnt work but that doesnt bother me.

Now here is the good news the E200 can now receive calls. You can answer calls successfully via parrot keypad, the E200 answer or automatic answer. All work fine. As a call comes in the ringing sound intermittantly comes out of the speakers as the headset profile appears to be active on E200 when it rings only. However you can press the answer at any point and the headset profile goes solid and voice is coming through car audio. I have tried all ways of answer and all work fine.

Also Ive just travelled from Glasgow to London and received dozens calls successfully. :( :(

After firmware update I paired device and have never had to do it again or lost the connection with the car at any point. Not one call that I have received since update on Tuesday has failed. The only thing is that when you enter car there is no beep to let you know youve connected with car so you just have to activate BT and just trust it has connected.

I am really happy with this update because I makes it totally functional even though some CK3000 features wont work.

As I said before I know someone else's car kit works ok also. So I would suggest if you upgrade to v3.12 and have problems maybe you car kit is faulty.

Thanks

Dean.

How does it charge up? With the E200 battery life, even with the SD removed it won't last too long..?

Still there might be hope with this parrott solution, but TBH i would perfer a 'standard' cradle kit with radio mute. Does the parrott mute the radio?
