I've tried to unlock it for many times, but with no result......

How can I unlock my SPV for applications with the newest update ?!?

please help me......

(the update I'm talking about is the one which included "Task Manager")

When you say no result what is actually happening?

If you are using a non Orange SIM or are outside the UK then you may need to decert using the passthrough connection instead of GPRS.

I have a orange SIM, and I live in the Netherlands (so it's outsite the UK  )

With no result I mean it doesn't get unlocked

Before I had runned the update I unlockt it (for applications) trough the Developers site (OTA way) and it worked fine... but with the update it doesn't work anymore :)

Hello, can you be so kind to teach me how to decert plse.

I've a Qtek 7070, and upgraded to the UK Orange 1.6 ROM. It works, but then I cannot install the Chinese interface that came with my local vendor, said model name is no correct when it configures the phone after installation. So no go. Would decert do the trick plse ?

I then try putting the Qtek 1.50 ROM on it, but cannot, it keeps checking the device until Autosyn times out. Autosyn cannot recognise phone (icon turns grey from green) and said phone is not connnected although the USB connection is fine and available.

Can any experts plse assist. Many thanks.

Try to decert using this method (first post in topic) it's written for users

By passthrough decerting, do you mean using the No Warez.exe and autosyn to the phone, then running Disable security on the phone? I did that and it let me install the program (previously it did not).

But the problem is that after installation, the program seems to go and check the model name and said it is not correct, and abort. So still I have no Chinese interface. Would appreciate if you can shed some light here. Do I need to downgrade, and if so, How? The bootloader now shown after the 1.61 upgrade is 1.10 at Canary. And I could not put the Qtek 1.50 ROM on now, screen went blank/white and hung. Many thanks

Hi, I think what's preventing it to continue to configure the phone to have the new Chinese interface is probably a check in the xml file and tmp file which are included in the autoconfig directory of the MMC card. There are lines with parm or no parm = 0404. Is this the line I should change to something else to make it non-model specific. Plse assist, thanks.

Probed into it further, I found in the xml files, it marked the model to be "TAO MAGPIE". And even when the IA Manager was installed on the phone, when run, it said it works only on TAO MAGPIE phone !

I suspect that this is the conflict which prevent the installation of the Chinese interface as it checks the device to tally with the .exe files (for TAO MAGPIE). Please assist, how can I circumvent this.

Or if I can't, do I then have no option but to downgrade ROM to Qtek 1.50 (and if so would it work??). As my bootloader after Orange 1.6 is now ver. 1.10, plse explain how can I downgrade (I tried many times without success). Would hard reset is the answer?? (some one said that it won't erase the orange defaults anyway, so would not help??). If so, how to go about it? Many thanks in advance to you all.

Hello

My current status- Qtek 7070, Orange 1.6.1 ROM, decerted (successfully confirmed - by No Warez.exe as well as OTA via Orange devzone). Bootloader ver 1.10 at Canary 3 color screen

Current problem- no MMS, can install the local dealer's Chinese interface software, but cannot be configured ("Model Name of Device is not Correct !).

What should I do please ?

-shall I downgrade to Qtek 1.50 or your iMate 1.50 ?

- how do I do it with the newer bootloader 1.10, I tried and it hangs on a white screen while the ROM .exe checks the phone. What do I need to do in order to be able to run the downgrade software please ?

Many thanks indeed.

I've followed the instructions for the OTA and i get nothing. I've tried it three times now, all i get is the 'it may take upto 5 mins' and nothig arrives.

I have just updated to the new rom this morning. I have a Classic SPV, with orange SIM. Is there another way to app unlock other than the OTA?
