Guest amzchhabra
Hi, I have an SPV but it hangs on the sunset screen... I know this has been mentioned many times in the forum before and I have been here all day looking for a solution. I have hard resetted the phone at least 5 times now, it still sticks. Also I can only do this while the phone is plugged into the charger. Does anyone know why this is happening. It will not even switch on without the charger plugged in. ANY HELP would be much appreciated. Amit C
Guest blewer
Welcome to the site :) After a hard reset it can take about 5-10mins to boot, try again! Good luck Adam
Guest awarner [MVP]
It will not even switch on without the charger plugged in. Dodgy battery? if the phone will ONLY boot whenthe charger is plugged in then your battery could be dead or very flat. Leave the charger plugged into the phone overnight and then try again. Guest amzchhabra
Thanks Guys, I found a thread saying that I could do a software update from the bootloader, so I did, But one slight problem. The phone was erasing the flash and it got to 98% but then suddenly it stopped, and then the update program prompted me that it failed and I should try again. Only problem is now I cannot get to the bootloader. When i plug in the charger the light does not come on, also the computer now does not recognise the USB device. Have I totally screwed this phone up??? PLEASE HELP! Amit C
Guest awarner [MVP]
I'm afraid to say you now have an expensive paperweight :) As the app crashed while erasing, and importantly you cannot enter the canary screen there is not much hope to save the pone apart from sending it off for repair. Guest kalinte
i f you plug in and a usb in indicated on the phone screen, then it means that you can still run an upgrade.
