Guest spartanrob
Silly question, but i have to ask. If you hard reset the phone, will it still be unlocked?
Guest florin_m
I don't do temporary solution, and if i did I was posting a warning about it. I don't like conning (right spell???) people. So unlocking is a definite one, so you can hard reset, firmware upgrade, whatever YOU want! Phone still unlocked (simlock). If you have problems, till monday I'm in germany to Cebit, so I'm sorry if i can't answer as fast as before :). Regards, Florin
Guest spartanrob
Thanks, i probably should have asked that before i unlocked but i just wanted to make sure.

Guest noeljr
Some questions about MPX200 SIMunlock at http://www.imei-check.co.uk/: - Does it work with an AT&T phone bought in the US? - Will it work with any SIM or just the one that is inserted at the time of unlocking? Thank you in advance Noel
Guest awarner [MVP]
It will work with ALL mpx200s and when the phone is unlocked that's it, unlocked for life (unless an update re-locks like SMART's SAP update)
Guest abatis
Great service, my phone was unlocked in minutes. Do not risk spending money with the likes of GSM Liberty like I did. This service is fast and real. Thanks abatis.
Guest rh0926
Pardon the ignorance, but is there any way to lock an MPx200 without the use of a disallowed SIM card? I was planning on unlocking the phone now, but I'm still in my plan for a few more months. I don't know anybody with a phone that has a SIM card. Guest abatis
I believe to get the correct screen to come up you will need a sim from a different carrier. the SIM does not need to be active to a network just not the same as the carrier you bought from. After receiving my MPX from ATT I ordered GSM service from T-Mobile. Concurrently I ordered the SIM unlock code. Everything worked fine plus I got a free spare GSM phone from T-Mob. There is not much risk in all this. One word of advice. I would get the unlock code while you can. I did my first MPX back in Dec 03 for $17. Than there was a period where nobody was getting codes. Than someone was charging $69. Now Florin has this great service that I used for a second MPX at $37.50US. But you never know when the service will change or go away. I would get the code now even if you do not unlock until later.
Guest kingashoor
Ok this may seem like a stupid question, but I tried to search for an answer. I have a MPx200 and it's locked with AT&T. I just purchased the unlock code and when I put in a unauthorized SIM card, I get the following prompt: Enter your password (SIM PIN1) and press DONE. I contacted the unlocker site and they say it's a password on my phone to protect any unauthorized changes, what the heck is this. I've never put a password on my phone. How can I bypass this. please email me at [email protected], I NEED HELP!!!!!!
Guest kingashoor
Well the thing is, I am using a SIM from another carrier (Tmobile) and it still comes up with that screen. I'm actually borrowing the SIM from an active phone. Anyone have any suggestions?
Guest florin_m
You said you contacted the unlock site. I'm the unlock site and no email from you? Never go a email from: [email protected]. I checked all email system. You sure you contacted me? "Enter your password (SIM PIN1) and press DONE" mean is your sim card pin, not the simlock code, so just check in the we brosure u got with your simcard to see where and what is your SIM PIN. Be carefull after 3 entryed sim will ask for PUK (wich is 8 digits long usualy) Best regards, Florin Mandache
Guest deavod
Silly question, but i have to ask. If you http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?p=97945#97945>Hard Reset the phone, will it still be unlocked? Yes!! I've done it several times to three different MPx200's. Once unlocked they stay that way :)

I put a password on my SIM and I have to enter that PIN every time I power on the phone. (Just an extra safety step beyond locking the phone....) Guest mcwarre
i was goin to do it but it is a bit steep... No it isn't. It is exactly what the carrier charges (and you don't have to pay the remainder of your contract up!)
Guest RobPowell
I agree with scott, £20 for that? All I want to do is move my contacts over from my old SIM!! Not worth £20, I'd rather spend the hour typing them in LOL
