The joypad is fully 9 way AND it supports diagonal and 'action' simultaneously!

So perfect for gaming as well. Getting better all the time.
Just got off the phone from Orange to check if and when the M2000 will be available. No exact date, but before the end of October apparantly. Bring it on!

There is no way its going to be by the end of October. Good chance that it will be business only to start with.

Its possible it was in Orange retail magazine for September as coming soon for customers.
It would be nice if it was, as ive got a liberate upgrade coming up in Jan!

From what Dade has said in another thread i hear the keypad works quite well. holding it in both hands and typing with your thumbs

I do indeed think that the keybaord is pretty good. Each key has a raised 'pimple' which helps to locate the right key and the keypress has a tactile click to it. Personally I can type faster on the SIP but the keyboard is good for newbie's and for when you dont want to use the stylus.

Any idea on compatibility of accessories? will accessories from the M1000 work with it? If not have there been many peripheral products announced for the M2000 like in car chargers, cases etc?

Just FYI - obviously the HTC Blue Angel will be sold under a number of different guises, here's one I almost missed.
Available NOW (they have 70 in stock) from eXpansys - but it's £580 (without contract):

As for compatible M1000 accessories, Chargers are ok as are sync cables and soft cases. Hard cases, like the metal one, wont fit as the M2000 is a few mm's thicker and same goes for the M1000 sync cradle as the M2000 is a little too wide.

So its simply the dimensions of the unit rather than the actual interface port that is causing compatability issues.
So if expansys are selling them does this mean that the release of the M2000 on orange is not so very far away?

Mobiles 2 Your Door told me yesterday that Orange had confirmed with them that they'd be receiving stock in the week beginning 25 Oct. Not sure I believe them, but I live in hope.

Orange does this all the time, they will never give a date, not even a rough date!
Surely they know something about the release!!
All they tell me is, 'sometime this month'
Starting to debate that as well from what Dade is saying!
When do you think we will be able to get our hands on it Dade?

I really cant say (partly because Im not sure what Im allowed to say or not!) but Orange have not told me their target release date.
I personally think we are talking weeks rather than days.
As soon as I know more Ill post some info!
