hello,
my mitac 8390 plays only wma files. what I have to do in order to make it play the mpeg too?

mpeg is it not a windows format, use mp3s these work and are smaller.

You can use betaplayer version 0.094 or pockettv for playing MPEG1 video files.

this is the field where i have been researching lately. i use beta player on my to run mpeg and avi file, using PocketDivXEncoder_0.3.50 to convert all the mpeg file to smartphone format. a mpeg file that is 400MB after converting is only 40MB, b/c u reduce the resolution to 220x176. i suggest beta player b/c it rocks , it has full-screen feature, very easy to use. and u can download most of the apps at here good luck
