Orange M2000 in black?

(Posted as a new topic, due to lack of response - good or bad - to my previous post  )

I like the look of the M2000, but I much prefer the graphite grey XDA IIs from O2 (it's the same colour as my luvverly iPAQ hx4700) - I'm not sure I really want to leave Orange, so my question is this.....

Does anyone know if Orange will be introducing the M2000 in the grey/black flavour (like they did with the black and the silver/champagne C500)?? Or maybe I'm gonna have to desert after 8 years with Orange, just to satisfy my quest for mobile phone nirvana....... :)

Any (informed) replies gratefully received!

Mark.

Orange won't be bringing out the grey version of the m2000.  Have fun with premium rate CS if you do switch to O2 though!

I have run away to o2 after 6 years with orange, 2.5 weeks in and all seems well so far!

my opinion of orange has decrease of late, terrible information about phone availability, did you know in their current catalogue it advertises the m200 as not having bluetooth?? Whilst their website is currently stating that it is "coming soon" for new phones and "out of stock" for upgrades, and a bloke in the shop told me it was "discontinued" !!

Many friends have recently switched to o2 and been surprised by the good customer service compared with orange, so I'm not feeling too bad about the switch

I personally wasn't bothered about the colour (although many friends have commented on liking the black), I just wanted the device before March!!!

I just jumped ship to Vodafone after 3 years at Orange (because I wanted an Imate Jam and wasnt going to wait three months for Orange to release it) and was a little sad at having to leave as I had no complaint about Orange. Three weeks in though, and very impressed with the signal compared to Orange in my area.

well, I have had nothing but hassle with O2 so I have just been into the Bath Orange shop (which is also a business store) and they had 3 x M2000in stock....plus a great guy who actually knew what he was talking about....as i have used Orange for work then it was an easy decision....also, they have just released a dual sim card scheme so you can have 2 phones with the same number.....

so.... i now have an M2000 and a Jam!!!!!!

They've released dual SIM?!?

P

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

no, i have 2 sims, 2 accounts and keep swapping between the sims and phones !!! just to fuel my gadget addiction !!!

HOWEVER.............one of my clients told me that Orange now have launched DUAL ACCOUNT SIM CARDS.........therefore, 2 sims that tie to the one number............you need to turn only one on at a time but this allows the use of inbuilt carphones and trendy portables on the one number without opening and taking out the sim card.....................i rang orange and they knew absolutely nothing, but my customer said ring their business unit..........he had his delivered monday and is now using a nokia 6310i in his BMW and then switching off and using another phone for external 'out of the car' calls on a trendy phone !!!!

i have asked for their Orange field account manager details so i can ring and arrange the same !!!

As far as I know, Vodafone are still the only ones to offer multisim... Would be very annoyed if Orange now offer this (they would have to do it just after I leave! Typical!).

this black spv will be called the m2500

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Hi

I am sure your info is good, but I heard that the M500 is the HTC Magician and that the M2500 is the HTC Alpine (XDAIIi, same chassis as the XDAII but with wifi, new processor and faster processor).......also, the M2500, if indeed the XDAIIi, will still be silver??

I thought (although could be wrongly) that O2 had exclusivity on the black model......all others (Orange, iMate, QTEK etc etc) were silver

would be nice though if Orange did get the black unit......
