So, as regular readers will know, i've tried pretty much every case out there in my question for the right case for my Jam.

I received the 2 Alu-Leather cases from Proporta today - http://www.proporta.com/F02/PPF02P05.php?t_mode=cat&t_id=247 - and they are great!

I do like the cases from Brando, but the quality of these cases are in another league :D

I received both the Flip Case and the Book Case, and both are lovely, but the Flip case wins for me, despite not having camera holes :P

What I really like is the fact that when in the case, there is nothing obstructing the screen on the PDA, as there are on most cases, and also, the phone is easily removed.

The Flip Case can be found here: http://www.proporta.com/F02/PPF02P05.php?t...1009&t_mode=des

and the Book Case can be found here: http://www.proporta.com/F02/PPF02P05.php?t...1010&t_mode=des

Here's my pics of the Flip Case:

And my pics of the Book Case:

Feel free to hit me with any questions you have :D

PS As an aside... THE PROPORTA BLUETOOTH KEYBOARD NOW WORKS WITH THE JAM! HURRAH! :D

the flip case looks cool Paul..... i too have bought ALL the brando cases and whilst they are all great, they make the jam look more like a pda and less than a phone...particularly when held against your face!!

it's a shame the flip has a clasp....even better would be a magnetic closure along the rim a bit like the excellent sena cases and also like the original xda cases.....a bit less fiddly bulk!

i have ordered a slip case from tuff-as-nuts.com - i am now going on the principle that i need a case for protection but want to use and show the phone naked ! their case has many options inc clasp, full flap, and also pocket on front for sd card (or sd wifi for me as i am fed up with carrying in my wallet!)

i can post some pics if it's of interest?

Mark

Hi Nick

placed the order on Sunday, got an email from 'Maureen' on Monday to say that the $10USD UPS shipping was for US only - did I want to pay $37 for UK UPS (which of course i did, do not want to wait 10-15 days !!!!).........another email Monday lunchtime to say it was despatched...........today is Thursday and no sign yet but New Zealand is a long way away and customs probably take a look first so I guess either this afternoon or tomorrow

I have bought their cases before (PDA2k/XDAIIS) and they are great for phone style pda's because you can tuck on your belt or slip in the pocket but pull out the phone for general use

I REALLY love the sena cases (used it with the IPAQ 4150) because they were so thin and no clasps......just wish they would bring one out for the Jam....would be there like a shot!

just arrived !! very nice case..........only be careful if you use UPS delivery, clearly bringing stuff in via courier attracts the dreaded customs inspection and i have just been stung £20 duty !!!! go for normal post and all should be well !!!

i slide the Jam in with the screen toward me so that when i take it out to answer a call, it is naturally already facing me....now the other thing to consider is that to grab and pull out the Jam, you are likely to hit the power button whilst bringing it out (why didn't HTC put the power switch on the top !!!)........so...........out the Jam in Upside down and you won't hit the power button when bringing it out !!!

some piccies....
