O2 Xda IIs SMS Delivery Reports

I have an O2 Xda IIs, and if I go into options when creating a SMS, and select request delivery report, I don't get one?

Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

My m8 has an M2000 from orange and it works on his, is it just O2 being gay?

You have to put *0# at the start of the text message when using 02. From what I have read this applies to any handset you use on O2; not just the XDA IIs

In the message. If you put it in front of the number it won't send.
