Hi,

I have been using orb to stream my mp3's/music via my mda compact with a amicom wifi card and it works great.

I have installed betaplayer and it plays a couple of secs, stops/loads plays a couple of secs etc. how do I fix it?, as I would like to do the same as orb but with out the internet bit, just stream it from my pc's hd etc??

sounds like your not getting a good signal from your wifi.
tried the resco file explorer-windows media player combination?
that works fine for me. even my ripped dvds are good enough quality to watch.

I just started using a Windows Mobile 5.0 smartphone.
(test device)   It wont play though. (see error below)

It worked on the same smartphone with Windows Mobile 2003SE

I also tried it on another Pocket PC with WM5 as well. (same problem)

Here's a play by play............

-Please wait while Orb measures the network speed. (success)

-I see my favorites and play a tv station (looks good)

-Windows Media opens with error:

"Cannot play the file. The file is either corrupted or the Player does not suport the format you are trying to play"

more info.........
Meida plays my local MP3's just fine
Media plays http://www.xstreamxm.com/mobile/ just fine
Media plays various .WMV videos perfect

So are you saying beta/core player can be linked to orb wmv streams?
Is there a 3GP smartphone app that can handle orb streams?
