Ok… here is version 2 of the icons home screen from last week. New additions include a crosshair to move around and select the icons, I got rid of the distortion behind the shortcuts, it’s now as smooth as a Guinness before 9am. I also included the calendar plug-in at the bottom OR the smart monitor plug in. both Xml files are included in the zip file. Apart from that I tidied things up a bit and made things look smarter.

Unzip the file and copy the xml document (either ICONS mark ii calendar or ICONS mark ii monitor) and corresponding image into storage/application data/home then select ICONS mark ii from the list in home screens… be sure to leave the background as default so you get the right background.

Hope you like it.

EDIT: to make this work you need to download the BMP file in this post and put it in storage/applicationdata/home along with the XML file and background image

the bmp file is the croshair that selects the icons, i missed it from the origonal post, dumass

been speaking to remyj, he's gonna take a look at the shortcut plugin, thinks it might be possible to make the icons larger when they are selected

the smart monitor cab is somewhere on this site, i think posted by richie m, i can probably dig it out and post it here.

the the time profile date code is at the bottom of the xml file... hold on, i'll post that too....

ok, this code is near the bottom of the file, where you see #FFFFAA that is the hex hub colour code for the font colour, if you search google for hex codes, you can get a full list of codes, just paste the new bit of code over tha old an it will change the font colour ;)

OH! and if you want a different colour croshair you can edit the Bmp image in paint, as long as it has the same file name when you transfer it back to your phone it'll work fine

i dont have the little battery showing at the bottom of the screen nor do i have the storage card.................i do have the percentages of battery and mb of the storage card but not the pic ..............whats going on.....i have got the smart monitor plugin..........

there are 2 different backgrounds in the rar file, one of them has the battery and memory card on the bottom. use that... posted from my smartphone... at the airport:)

with his croshair i made loads of them in different colours and made an animated gif but when the homescreen loads it does show the first colour of the gif but it doesnt play as such.......so do i need a gif plugin or do i need change the xml more........all i done was change his bmp to gif

um... this might be possible, interesting actualy, this could definatly be done but you'd need the animated homescreen plugin, and someone to code the xml file but i don't have any experience with this plugin... posted from my smartphone... in rome

i've been looking into this but i don't really have any experience with animated homescreens.... maybe you should ask Pzee cos he has made quite a few.

i'm working on a different homescreen but it's kinda complicated and i'm not getting anywhere very fast. i think i might bin the idea
