Guest bone|yard
Hello I have done a search for this topic and was not able to find the answer(s) I am seeking. First off I want to say that on other issues this board has been very helpful troubleshooting any issues with my MX200 and have had no need to sign up, but this one I cant seem to find an explanation. problem: When i copy wav files of any type to my mx200 to the root dir with all the other sound files. I then use them as my custom ringers. For some reason, they delete themselves. It happends at random, turning phone back on , syncing, charging on the cradle. Im using 2002 software and 3.8 sync. I have two of these phones and im having the same issue on both. I bought them unlocked brand new and am running T-Mobile simm cards on them. Other than that, they work great. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
Guest Disco Stu
Put them in \IPSM \Application Data \Sounds. The \Windows folder gets rewritten when you restart the phone so they get deleted from there.

If by chance I start running out of room, is there a way to reference the ring tomes from say my sd stick?
Guest Disco Stu
Try this - Set Tones beta thread. I think this works with the 2002 OS. If not try a search for 'Changer Sonneries' - the earlier version. It should be up here somewhere.
