MSFP for IMate K-Jam?

Now that Exchange 2003 SP-2 is out, does anyone know where and when MSFP (Messaging and Security Feature Pack) will be available for IMate K-Kam (HTC Wizard)? It would be nice to try out the Direct Push feature that we have been waiting for.

I asked i-mate support this week and they have said "early 2006"

According to i-mate, when released it will be integrated into a ROM update so i guess we wont be seeing a ROM update for the K-JAM till the MSFP is finished.

However, as even the Microsoft Windows Mobile / MSFP website says next calendar year for devices and upgrades i think the delay is with Microsoft rather than i-mate etc.

I really do think its a bit strange that theres such a big time gap between the release of Exchange 2K3 SP2 (released this month) and the MSFP, especially as Microsoft has been push advertising the extra features everywhere.

I guess we wait......

That's too bad, I was really looking forward to having push on my phone instead of polling every ten minutes. Anyway, at least the other features of SP2 is nice on the K-Jam, like syncing contact photos.

There is a post in the Wizard forum on XDA Developers HERE that mentions the possibility of Microsoft releasing it as a separate download.

Although this would be great, i'm not keeping my hopes up :roll:
