Yeh got mine for £158 delivered.. which is going to be wicked based on the fact this works!

On the v1240 is this the same key?!  - ie- the button top left hand side (used for launching the wifi etc)

Ummm, the v1240 is a tornado, the v1640 is voda's universal clone. Which did you buy? One is a smartphone t'others a PPC - hope it's your typo.

My v1240 was not providor / sim locked, you should be able to decert using the same instructions for the orange c600 / faraday. Check the tornado section in the smartphones catagory.
