Guest bennish Posted December 8, 2005 Report Share Posted December 8, 2005 well i don't know about the buttons and stuff, but if you simply make an old wm2003 theme with everything (except text) black, it'll come out that black/grey shade. like so: as for the rest... looks like a custom program screen like on recent dells? or ipaqs or something. and maybe a custom dialler screen which isn't too hard to make. It requires the free plugins WisBar Advance 1.x and tdLaunch. I've uploaded the pack below. Thanks especially to Juni for the WisBar Advance icon designs! WisBar Advance 1.x which allows you to skin the taskbars. 2. A launcher program (to get the icons on the Today screen). I used tdLaunch in the example above, but I actually prefer cLaunch which is much more customizable. A picture of the theme using cLaunch is below: 3. Finally, you need a registry editor. I use TascalSoft RegEdit (TRE). Connect your PPC to the computer via ActiveSync then install WisBar, your choice of launcher and the registry editor. Transfer the unzipped A701 folder to your device. Just remember where you put it! Install the .tsk file as the basic theme using Start>Settings>Today>Appearance. The rest of the files are for WisBar. Run WisBar, click on the Theme tab and select the .skin file from the A701 folder. This will skin the taskbars. Next run your launcher program. This requires some tweaking of the interface to get the icons positioned correctly. Go to Start>Settings>Today>Items>tdLaunch (or cLaunch)>Options. The values I used for tdLaunch are: icon size 48, icon horz. margin 16, icon vert. margin 3, window top margin 4, window bottom margin 4, the other values are 0. The values for cLaunch are: icon size 32, window margins left 12, top 16. Finally, to edit the registry to change the menu colour to white you need to run TRE and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Color. Create a new binary value named 39 and set it to FF FF FF 00 for white. Please be careful when touching the registry! Guest bennish Posted January 19, 2006 Report Share Posted January 19, 2006 (edited) ok here's the blackest theme you can get: using a registry editor, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Color, then change 'basehue' to 160. 0 is theoretically darkest hue, but 160 gives almost black it's quite nice. However I have recently upgraded to a MDA Vario - Do you have any plans to crreate a version of this theme that will operate in landscape mode.
