Guest xxcrashxx Posted January 15, 2006 Report Share Posted January 15, 2006 anyone know of a way to have the backlight for the external lcd on when the phone is flipped open?? now that i figured out a way to put up an image on that screen when its open, i wanna be able to have it lit up when its open. Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 15, 2006 Report Share Posted January 15, 2006 You need to edit the following registry entry to adjust the backlight settings for the external LCD. HKLM/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Power/Activity Timers/User Activity/Timeout This is normally set to 2 which means the backlight is on for 4 seconds. BattPowerOff, and ExtPowerOff. if i try to change either of those, i get a message saying unable to perform this operation. i tried to add more keys in the power key, but i get the same message. turning off the phone and turning it back on doesnt solve that problem either.
