Guest rvacha
For some reason my JAMin is eating some of my SD cards (actually mini SD cards with adapters). I have one card that works well no matter what I do with it, but the others have big integrity issues. I can take an SD, format in a reader, load data & directories - eveything is fine. Pop it into the Prophet and it either reports nonsense or nothing at all where files and directories used to be. The Prophet tends to spare big 1M+ files and kill small 100K files. The odd thing is that the files that appear to be corrupt in the Prophet look good in the reader, but the reader can no longer make sense of the files the Prophet can properly read. Anyone else have this kind of problem? These SDs work well in the reader and my SMT5600 (after reformatting, required after I plug them into the Prophet). Is it possble the cards are too slow/too much data skew for the Prophet? Has anyone found fast cards work better? Ray
Guest chucky.egg
I dont think I can help with your problem, my Prophet (a Dopod 818 Pro) reads the card fine even when I load stuff through an SD Card Reader But.... for some reason mine keeps "losing" the SD card. It just disappears from all apps that would know it's there, and the only way I've found to get it back is a Soft Reset I'm using a 4Gb Transcend card, what do you have? I've got a MobyMemory 1Gb mSD, which I'm going to dig out and try for a while to see if it has any effect [edit] Just broke my mSD adapter, bugger! :) [/edit] Edited February 11, 2006 by chucky.egg
Guest rvacha
I'm using a 4Gb Transcend card, what do you have? The ones that work are fast SanDisk 1GB cards (one Ultra II SD, one Mini SD). I'm testing the others now, but one that fails consistently is a slow ATP Mini SD. I normally format all of them as FAT32, but the ATP doesn't like any format in my Prophet. I'm not having any problems with them getting lost. I beleive anything 2GB and above must be formatted FAT32 - is that what you are using?

Guest chucky.egg
I've just formatted mine in the Prophet (it didn't ask what format I wanted, but I noticed the FAT32 comment when you do a hard reset so I guessed that'd be what it got). The Prophet sees mine most of the time, it just sometimes loses it. I dont think my issues are formatting related
