Unblock Dialer Calling

My MDA is set to not show my CELL number on all calls.. Via the Network Settings..

However some numbers in my contact list will not accept blocked calls.

Previously i.e. on ALL OTHER PHONES THAT I have every had I could simply do *82 here in dallas

i.e. *82 xxx-xxx-xxxx and have no problems calling that party.

But as of now.. I can not get it to work.

This is not a PROVIDER THING as my previous phone did it on T-MOBILE the v600 and then

the razor and a few others.. But the MDA will not take it..

And its the same contact listings.. ;)

Any quick help would be appreciated.

Start \ Settings \ Phone \ Network [Tab] \ Servers [Tab] \ > Caller ID

Edit: Sorry, I just re-read it...

On WM2003, you could set it to show your ID for contacts only, but not in WM5, or can you do that somehow in this OS?

YES.. that didn't help.. same thing.. 'party you are trying to reach does not accept calls from annoumous numbers'

Start \ Settings \ Phone \ Network [Tab] \ Servers [Tab] \ > Caller ID

This is where it is configured.. And I have it set as 'show caller id' TO KNOW ONE.. Which is how I want it.

However when calling a hand full of numbers I need to show my id..

There has to be a work around.. ;)

Any other ideas.

The standard convention is to dial 141 before the number to get it to display

Thanks. Tried that.. And that DID NOT work..

Any Others...

Shouldn't this be an operator thing? Have you tried calling your Network and asking them? ;)

YES & NO

I want my number to blocked at all times.. However as stated with previous PHONES on the same network.

T-MOBILE

The phone accpeted the *82 xxx-xxx-xxxx CALLING..

The MDA does not...

These work for the Cingular 8125

#31# plus the number you wish to dial to hide your number

*31# plus the number to show your number.
