Thinking of getting a SPV C550

Hi

I am thinking of getting an Orange SPV C550 on Orange PAYG but I have a few questions.

1) Does this phone support email which is pushed to the phone and will notify me when I have new email and only download the whole email if i tell it to.

2) Will an Orange.net email account support this or will i need something else like the mail2web service I have read about on here.

3) How much would this cost roughly each month in GPRS data.

4) Is this phone still available I notice its not on the website under PAYG anymore. I haven't had a chance to visit an orange shop yet but someone gave me an Orange Magazine and it was still in there.

1, No as this is a more recent feature of Windows Mobile 5, the C550 has 2003SE

2, Depends on the size and ammount of emails

3, Not sure about availability.

I would spend a little more and get the C600 on PAYG, currently available from Amazon for 140 quid.

when i looked yesterday though its not available yet, amazon are quoting usually dispatched in 1-2 weeks, which means they have no idea as orange havent released it on PAYG yet

your best getting the good old classic C500 or the T-Mobile MDA Vario, which does have support for push email (as it has WM5 but t-mobile are still to release a ROM which does this)

Thanks for your help everyone. Unfortunately the orange shop don't seem to have C500's in stock anymore and I asked them when the C600 would be on PAYG and they didn't have a clue. I think I will just go ahead with getting the C550 and use the standard email function on it.
