Transferring contact from outlook to M5000

this may seem like a stupid question but here goes...

My M5000 has just been replaced, i have all my contatc lists on outlook and i cannot see a way of transferring them onto the phone.

When i active sync nothing happens, i have selected contacts as one of the ctagories to be sync'd

Am i missing something here

I had this problem, took me a whole afternoon to sort it out and I tried so many different things I can't even remember which one worked ;)

To start with, try deleting your phone profile from Activesync, then the next time you plug it in it'll create a new synchronisation profile which will hopefully work. Try selecting only the bare minimum of things to synchronise (I have only Calendar, Contacts and Tasks selected), as I remember reading somewhere that AS4.1 doesn't work when too many options are checked.

Speaking of which, you do have AS 4.1 installed, right? Don't think it'll work with earlier versions at all.

Yes i have AS4.1 installed, this is what created the issue i think.

My old M5000 used to Sync with version 4.0 when i got this replacement it would not sync without the upgrade to 4.1 and since then i have had not luck with the contacts.

Will have to try your suggestion and see how it goes
