ok, thanks. And does it work the same for you since you've turned SSL off ? do you receive the emails as quickly as before ?

thanks again for your help :)

Receipt is immediate with SSL on or off.

As indicated by others SSL now appears to work again. Perhaps mail2web have fixed the certificate issue following the emails we sent them (although they haven't replied to the emails).

May just be temporary and SSL may fail shortly but it's operational at present.

Is that working as it was originally with the SSL box ticked, or with it un-ticked?

Mine keeps asking for my password to be entered. When I enter what I think is correct it asks me again?

What is the password to put in ActivSync. Is it the one I log-in with on my PC or some other?

Thanks

Chiz

I think lescargot means it now works with SSL ticked (mine now works again).

Password for ActiveSync is not a PC password, it is the password you set up with your mail2web account.

Yeah sorry I worded that completely wrong. When I said log on on my PC I meant into the mail2web live screen. Not starting up my PC - sorry :)

I am putting in the one that I open mail2web live with and it is saying it is wrong.

Good to hear it is working again. Did you ever get a reply to your e-mail about the SSL?

Thanks

Chiz

Correct. Sorry for my poor wording.

I also emailed mail2web regards the problem. I got a very prompt reply of some suggestions on how to fix the problem although these did not work. So I then emailed the verbose logging file of activesync and I haven't heard back since. However the mail2web service seems to be working again with SSL encryption.

OK - update from me.

I e-mailed mail2web about my password problem. Copy of e-mail text below.

Greetings,

We recently made some changes with our Exchange servers. Please complete

the following to fix ActiveSync on your mobile device.

Here are the 3 things you can try to fix the active sync issue

1. Reboot your device.

2. You can try and turn off SSL then have it sync and then try and turn

SSL back on and try and sync again

3. You should check to make sure your date and time is correct.

I just did number 1.

I tried again and it again asked me to verify my password. I did and it worked.

So all OK now.
