Go get a USB SD card reader.  They're pretty inexpensive and you'll find one quite useful.  As an added bonus, copying files to the SD card through a reader is considerably faster than using the SPV and ActiveSync.

Does this mean when you buy a SD card you also HAVE to buy a reader to format it before using it in the SPV

Wonder if argos sell them - nice 14 day money back gaurentee
