Guest npch
I wanted to connect my Vario II as a modem using Bluetooth, and the manual was rubbish as usual! Heres what I did, I thought I'd share (short version) Just to say that I've tried using your instructions using the built-in XP Bluetooth stack and it seems to work! Managed to use the web and setup an SSH connection. However the connection itself seems a bit flakier than going through the HTC Wireless Modem application. Thanks for the tip ;)

Thanks for the tip ;) I tried this a little while ago, although I didn't read Matts guide until I had tried it. However, under XP, the BT modem it added did not have the option to add the extra initialisation string, and it never worked returning the error I used to get on my C500 when that string wasn't present. Never did get it to work.
