Utilitarian clock, alarm and short timer plugin you will find usefull if you use phone as a watch. It displays time in big readable digits - and uses place on side for everything else.

Functions:

1. Displays time, date and day of week. You can change date format in home screen XML.

2. Displays system alarm time.

3. Action(click) runs external application to set alarm. By default it is set to Oxios Alarms. To change it to another application (there are some freeware alarms), edit this XML line

Note: the application must set system alarm, not custom one.

4. Press right once to note a time. Time will be remembered in lower-right corner.

5. Press right and left to set short timer in minutes. Plugin will play sound when timer runs off.

6. Change size, fonts and colors with home screen XML.

CAB installer includes 3 example homescreens - 'ImaClock', 'ImaClock(white)' and 'ImaClock(blue)'. 'ImaClock' naturally looks the best. You can customize one of those homescreens or copy plugin code (it's marked with comment) to your own.

Hi Igorma,

Great plugin, very nicely done - thanks!

I have installed it on my Qtek 8500 with WM5, and I would like to suggest a different version of your plugin if I may? On my standard homescreen the clock and date are already there (next to the carrier). And I like the date to be written in full (22 September) and in my own language... this is already perfect on my homescreen. Also, on a Qtek 8500 there is an external screen with a clock, so I don't need a big clock on the inside homescreen.

So my suggestion is that you could (if you want!) make a smaller version of your plugin that has no clock or date, only the alarm time and the count-down timer on one line next to each other (with QVGA there is plenty of space to put both on one line). Action (click) should still start a program (Oxios Alarms), and pressing right and left should set the count-down timer.

You could put a clock icon to indicate the alarm, and maybe an hour-glass icon to indicate the count-down timer. If the alarm and/or the count-down timer is not set then it should say "Off" next to the icons (it should be possible for the user to change this text to their own language in the XML).

Please remember these are ONLY suggestions! Your plugin is already very nice, and if I could program a plugin myself I would, but I can't, so maybe you or someone else would be kind enough to make one like I suggest - I would be very grateful!

You mention that there are several freeware alarms - could you provide links to them please?

Hi,

This is great! I love how the time is so easy to see now!

Does anyone know if there is a way to change the time from 24 hour mode to 12 hour mode?

Thanks!
