Hi,

I'm quite new to development for mobile devices. I have a iPAQ 5550 and I was wondering if there's a way to discover other nearby pdas which have wifi enabled? and also how would I be able to communicate with these devices using .Net?

Hi,

I am also very interested in this topic, as well as establishing an ad hoc connection between two (or more) PPCs.

At the moment my research has shown that if you establish an ad hoc connection manually through the settings > connections > network cards > add new ... then you will be able to detect other devices nearby which are connected to an ad hoc network with the same SSID and get their IP and communicate with them. But I have not yet managed to do this programatically, which is what I need.

I look forward to any suggestions anyone may have.
