hi, i tried to search for an answer, but could not find one. i have a problem with the dialer when i am trying to find a contact by spelling the name from the homescreen. by the time i press the 3rd letter a CONFIRM screen pops up asking me to confirm that i want to dial a certain contact, which is usually the wrong contact. this means i have to press NO then resume spelling the name again so that i can find the person i was originally looking for. i have had several wm5 phones and only the s620 seems to do this.

does anyone know how to get around this? someone in the howardforums suggested that it had something to do with the cotacts that are on my sim card. any help would be appreciated

I think its only happens if the 1st letter of the contact is on the 1-0 keys and A is the 2nd (A doubling as #) This seems to want to autodial the contact in the same position on your sim card *phew*

eg. gerryR is at number 2 in your SIM contacts. If you are looking for a contact called "eatery" you type "E" (which is also the no 2) then "A" which is also the # then it will try to dial gerryR. You could try deleting all contacts from your SIM (assumeing you have them on the phones memory of course ;) )

Yeah its not an ideal solution for sure ;)

maybe its be fixed in a ROM update, I've seen others complain about it before.
