Wow, I was sold on the Vox before, but the Toshiba might steal my heart.
I have an HTC Tornado now, but I'm not the biggest fan of the utilitarian design (especially the US "humped" version I have), so I'm always looking for something sexier to come out.
The vox sounded good, but the more I see it the more it reminds me of a Nokia 6620... its very short and stout looking.
Question: With the Qwerty extended, does the Vox feel strange to use? I don't like how the design makes it so that the screen is off to the right of the keyboard instead of the center. I didn't particularly feel comfortable on the Dash when I had it, I think that I would dislike the Vox even more!
Thought?

However the G500... wow, now THAT's a minimalist design! Its so tiny and sleek... I can't beleive so many people here are talking about the Vox and not the Toshiba! I want to hear more about that one...

The screen position doesn't bother me really, but then i'm used to it with Pocket PCs to a slightly lesser extent.

I have to agree, the G500 is nice... still wish it was WM6 tho ;)

Oh, a Vox preview is coming too, but 'A day in the life of Paul and his Vox' would probably be incredibly dull ;)

Great stuff Paul.

Not been too ecited about upgrading until now - I've fell in love with the Vox.

Think I will cancel my planned upgrade to the Graphite and move back to Orange for the Vox

Beam me up to the Thicko Quandrant!!

No... You can't get away... From hell's heart I stab at thee...For hate's sake... I spit my last breath at thee!

But but but.... http://pdadb.net/ind...a...679&id2=728

Do you know who's going to take the s730 onboard? I can't see Orange taking it on so shortly after the s710.. they seem to like a big gap between their models..

Can anyone actually believe the S730 is going to pack all that technology into something pretty much the same size as a SP5? I mean there's 3G, GPS and a front camera included over the already packed S710, I just can't believe it. If its true I'll be hanging out for the S730...

I am interested.
And I don't mind at all that it only has WM5. I have WM5 now, and while WM6 looks nice, I don't necessarily needs html email and native word (I like documents to go and already paid for it...) so I'm really happy with what I've got. I just want a better design because let's the honest, the Tornado and its variants are pretty uninspired looking!

minor point: the new video contains the words "mini sd" a few times, should be "micro sd".

Thanks for the great vid!
