Is it opossible to use the i600 as a modem using the Bluetooth connection?

Should be, since the i600 is AKU3+ it should support the bluetooth PAN profile... until I get an i600 though I can't be 100% sure on the details.
I assume you are having issues?

Since there is no manual available for this phone anywhere it is difficult to locate all the functions. All my other smartphones have displayed 'dial up networking' when I pair them with bluetooth. The i600 does not display this. I'm sure it can be used as a modem via bluetooth. Just finding out how to do it is the problem.

My laptop BT stack is slightly odd, but all I did for my WM5 SP5 was create the BT pairing, tell the phone to enable the Serial Port, setup the COM port and it works. It uses a BT COM port not the PAN
My SP5 doesn't have 3G, so the settings may be different...
Dial string: *99#
AT commands: +CGDCONT=1,"IP","general.t-mobile.uk"

There is no DUN in AKU 3 +, you need to use the Bluetooth PAN (Personal Area Networking) Profile instead.

Ah. Didn't know that.
I'm considering getting an i600 instead of a Vox, the main reason being the 3G modem, so I'll be watching for progress.
How are you getting on with your i600?
How's the battery life?
Where did you get it? (cheapest I've seen is here: http://www.komplett.....asp?sku=331362 )

Still struggling with BT modem, T-Mobile MMS and wifi MAC address.
Battery life is ok. Not bad and not brilliant especially if you use 3G.
Screen is the best I have seen.
Charger connector is crap.
Box is so small the charger is strapped to the outside of the box!!!
No manual for this device anywhere including Samsung.
My mate has just bought the HTC S620. If that had wifi and 3g I would go for that, simply because the buttons are far better.
However, all in all I like the I600.
HOWEVER and it's a big HOWEVER..... Had the phone for about 5 days and already there is a lot of dust in the top left corner of the screen. Needless to say, I'm sending it back for a replacement!

Found the manual here: http://www.samsung.c...load/index.aspx
Got the modem to work. Paul is correct there is no DUN. You use a Bluetooth PAN. take 2 mins to setup.
Now if I could just find the bloody MAC address......

wow that's a £100 cheaper that I paid at expansys. Do you know anything about this company good or bad?

Got an email order confirmation back that includes...
I've replied asking for clarification as their website shows 6 in stock still.
If that's when they get them in then I expect I'll cancel and go to Expansys

I suppose they are still technically in stock until they re-open tomorrow or whenever...

Komplett have been around for ages. Think i've used them once or twice for computer components. Them selling the i600 that cheap actually makes it a contender now against the vox!
I still exist

For me it beats the Vox, because of the size/weight and 3G (none of those were real problems to me before!)
Of course, this might all be irrelevant if they don't actually have any to sell!

I'll give Komplett a chance to respond first, but it's becoming urgent to get a 3G modem sorted so 23rd is too far off.
I think I just found somewhere cheaper but in the US. Last time I got something over from there I got hit with some sort of import tax. Current price is £275, incl 2-day shipping & insurance

What do you mean by the 23rd?

Their confirmation email implied that they wouldn't have the handset until the 23rd April.

Odd I didn't get that email. I ordered on Fri. On their website my order shows "Order Status: Confirmed"
