1. I ve bought recently some SPV M500 with I-mate Italian ROM 1.2.212 or something

when i accidently slide battery cover only 1cm-2cm (battery is on its place) phone hard-resets

light sensor or what?
how can i lock down battery?
how to prevent this. battery cover is very weak?
what about red lock rubber-button close to the battery? what is it for?

2. Can i put i-mate english rom on this phone?
Can i put some other (ex. Qtek, MDA) rom on this phone?
