Think i've finally decided how i'm going to get my Vox! I saw someone else post on here saying they'd picked up a t-mobile contract, sold the free phone and bought a vox with the cash. Bit long winded but no way am I sticking with Orange any longer-why release a phone when there is no contract that you can get to make the most of it?! And then to take Windows Live Messenger off there is just disgraceful. Anyways, i've been doing some searching this afternoon-typical sim free price seems to be around £290 give or take a fiver. However, phones2udirect.co.uk have it listed at £259.99-just wondering if anyone has seen cheaper? Also, has anyone bought there Vox (or any other device) from this company? Anything i should know before I place the order?

Get a N95 on T-Mo to eBay, and you'll have that plus plenty of change for a 2GB microSD, Bluetooth GPS, CamerAware, MoDaCo Plus etc. etc.

On a slightly different point, the contract i'm looking at on t-mob is the flext 35 deal with web and walk plus. I notice in the terms and conditions it states you need to have web and walk PLUS to use instant messages services. Is this the case in reality? Or are alot of people using msn on standard web and walk? Do t-mob have any way of knowing? And if anyone has been caught what was the outcome? I see the plus option is only available on a very few select contracts so surely they couldn't just add the plus option to any people not on these contracts? Any advice very gratefully received!

I got the Flext 35 with W&W back in February. I've used MSN Messenger (not a lot but now and again) I've streamed audio and video from the web and I've used P2P programs too - all things they say you can't use on that tarriff but not had any word from T-Mob. I'm sure that common sense is prevailing and as long as you're not blitzing the 1Gb "Fair usage" cap every month and using MSN constantly then they really don't mind. Great tarriff though I must admit....leaving Orange behind and joining T-Mob was a great move!

i am also thinking of getting the vox from phones2udirect.co.uk for 260 but am a bit wary of the fact that they are selling it for 40 pounds less than everywhere else. Should I be worried? Maybe the stock is not UK specs? Old firmware?

Bakafrog, I might give phones2udirect.co.uk a call later just to confirm they actually do have them in stock. The only other reason for the £40 saving I can think of is that like alot of the other sites, they have an original price of £260ish, but then that changes to around £300 when they actually have it in stock. I beleieve someone else mentioned a pre-order price from a different site that had gone up, and expansys certainly upped there price once they receieved stock

I got a shipping notice on Monday for delivery Tuesday. Today is Wednesday nothing has arrived so I sent them an email re my order. They replied that unfortunately the suppliers ran out of stock and mine hasn't been shipped after all. They've now sourced some new suppliers and will be shipping mine on Friday for delivery next Monday

I will be very annoyed if they don't actually have stock as the site clearly says they do, and indeed still does.
Let me know if you get any info from them.
Cheers,
Jason.

I didn't get an email to say it was despatched, so maybe their email systems are a bit flakey as well at the moment.
Anyway, for anyone that did order from phones2udirect, relax as they obviously do have stock and are sending them even if they don't tell you it's shipping!
Now to go play with it.....
Jason.

Although it was a decent price I don't think I would use them again. They state on their site that they will email to tell you that your phone is despatched, and of course that they will try to answer emails in 24 hours. They failed to do either of these in my case. I wanted to have it delivered to my work address and requested this straight after ordering. Luckily there was someone in at home when it was delivered so it didn't matter in the end.
The fact that a mobile phone seller can't organise an alternative way for customers to phone doesn't exactly inspire confidence either.
Hope you get your phone today. I'm pretty impressed so far with mine.
Jason.
