Dont know if its just my pickiness - but im a little bit worried about the keyboard - it seems to be a little loose in its moorings when tucked away - is this the norm or have i got a dodgy handset - the bottom seems to be a bit further away from the front than the top - feels a little tacky when im using the bottom buttons

Mines has a bt of play, more so on the bottom of the phone. I'd guess it's down to the position of the two slides, one towards the top, and one nearer the centre of the phone. As long as it doesn't get any worse, it shouldn't be too bad.

I get the impression that a bit of play is present on pretty much all Voxes as they get worn in. Mine was extremely tight and smooth for the first day, but then I took out and replaced the microSD card and after mucking around with that (it's very tight, you have to push the card in quite firmly to get it to click in place, and getting a card out is even trickier since it doesn't click out very far so you have to grab and pull it between finger nails) it has loosened up.

The springs still hold the two halves firmly, but you can wobble the two halves half a millimeter left/right and up/down now on the right hand side of the phone (i.e. the edge furthest away from the slider clips), whereas brand new out of the box it was certainly less noticeable. When you slide it open, the two halves are still very tight together, and there is no wobble atall, so I am assuming the wobble is inherent to the design and to the fact that the slider clips are both on one side of the phone, so obviously if you apply some pressure to the other side of the phone there will be a small amount of wobble.

I've never had a sliding phone before, so I'm prepared to give it some time and see how things progress. I certainly don't have the impression that the phone will be dropping apart any time soon, and as I said the springs are still keeping it properly closed.
