Guest prince_aidin Posted May 23, 2007 Report Share Posted May 23, 2007 Hey, just using the Rogers Wirelss version which is the HTC S621 in Canada here running Windows Mobile, I am wondering a few things primarily has anyone used VOIP on the phone before, do they know any way of making internet calls over wifi or edge other than skype. Skype is good for calling europe its really not that big over in Canada yet, anyone have any ideas??? Second would it be a pain in the ass to get my gprs settings and all the required rogers settings back on the phone if I got it reverted back to the original manufacturers software and if i did this would it void my warranty, the main thing is about VOIP wondering if anyone has gotten anywhere with that, because that was one of the only things that I wish I had with this phone that the e61/61i has from nokia, thanks in advance Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Worked okay and only had one issue with the way the audio worked which required me to use headphones. I never did fully debug the problem before switching to wm6. Since I have switched to WM6 I have not looked at Skype's website to see if they have a wm6 compatible software package. I also used skype on my older HTC pocketpc phone wm5 and was very happy with that. I have not used skype extensively on smartphone yet but plan to. Skype worked fine over wifi on my pocketpc phone.
