Here's a YouTube video hands on review of the HTC Kaiser, courtesy of MyMobile911.com!

It includes good news for us Americans, it will be in the US and it will be for AT&T.

i know it does look odd, maybe in person it looks better who knows.. but i suppose it doesnt really matter. maybe they will change the colors of the keys again once more before its officially out. i dont think they need to br that bright to be able to notice the number keys

I don't think it'll change much.

Too many people also read PDADB as having hard facts which, er, it doesn't necessarily!

Wowwz.. That was a pretty nice review.. It does mention that the function keys can be lit as well, and this hopefully includes the lighting-up of the Numeric-keys. Finally I will be able to add a phonenumber in a bad-lighted bar  .......

Paul,

I'd gained the impression PDADB was one of the more reliable sources of info, would be interested to hear your views (by PM if thats more appropriate  )

MyMobile911 just posted some benchmark results of the 8525 and the HTC kaiser. you can see that the kaiser is 6 times better for graphics (gaming)!

Benchmark for HTC Kaiser

benchmark1.jpg

As the video review is out, people keep asking me about the benchmark comparison. Here it is. I used the spb benchmark and compare the HTC Kaiser with the predecessor AT&T 8525.

The above index shows you the comparison between the two devices on the overall Spb benchmark index. The HTC Kaiser

scores 30% higher than the Cingular 8525.

benchmark2.jpg

Although both HTC Kaiser and AT&T 8525 is using a 400Mhz process. However, the Qualcomm MSM7200 scores 1773.6 which is more than 400points. On the other hand, the 8525 scores 1341.7 which is better than most of the Smartphone on the market. To with the HTC advantage 2280, it is still a long way to go.

benchmark3.jpg

For the File System Index, the Kaiser still beat the 8525 by 26 points.

benchmark4.jpg

The most impressed index is the Graphics index. The result of the Kaiser's graphics index scores 4388 points. To compare with the Cingular 8525, it is 6 times less than the HTC Kaiser.

Based on the above benchmark result, the Kaiser is much better than the 8525. Especially on the graphic index. For those people who would like to play games on the Kaiser will need to save some money and be prepared for the Aug. release.

wel ill be... the 6800 has actually caught up to the kaiser with a qualcomm 7500 chipset. however the kaiser still beats it in everything when u compare the benchmark results, except for in graphics index (gaming) it won scored 4479.7 points, as the kaiser got 4388. not too bad tho. infact its almost identical. i really wish they could do benchmark results comparing a Dell Axim X51v and the kaiser.
