.

I just received a replacement BlackJack, but there is no sound what-so-ever. I tried every profile, edited the profiles to ensure volume level, removd and reinserted the battery, checked the handset volume (through the hardware button on the side), and I tried various sounds. No sound works, not even that annoying startup and shutdown swooosh sound!

I even tried soft-resetting it (through the security menu), as well as the "Up-Key/Power Button" reset and format, but still no sound!

Update: I called my voicemail on the phone and the telephone speaker works, but when I put it on speakerphone, nothing is heard. Therefore, it is definitely something to do with the loudspeaker (the rear speaker).

Is there anything else that I didn't try before I call Cingular?

AFAICT, no. Send it back...

Edit: On second thought, you might want to try running the sound test. It's in the Windows folder (SoundTest.lnk). You can find the appropriate shortcut here: http://www.modaco.co...ms-t256299.html
