HTC S710 Keyboard Lock - Answering calls

Hope someone can help

if the keyboard on the S710 is locked (either via Maniac's Autokeylock or by pressing the red end key until the keyboard locks) and a phone call comes in, then the only buttons that will activate are either the 2 soft keys (answer or ignore) or the green and red answering keys

ordinarily that is absolutely fine and the way it should be, but i want to silence the ringer on incoming calls rather than rudely 'ignore' to answer machine.......but because the device is keyboard locked, the volume buttons are disabled !!

does anyone have any ideas on how to enable the volume keys in 'lock' mode in order to silence the ringer and allow the incoming call to gracefully silently ring until answer machine kicks in???

cheers

Mark

Guest KillBait!

While i cant give you a direct answer, the latest beta of maniacs autokeylock (3.9 Beta 10) has an option to auto unlock the phone on incoming calls and auto lock again afterwards.

I've not tried these options myself as i dont rearly need them, but the beta is very stable as far as i can tell, so it might be worth a look.
