If you are looking to use MobilePanel on your Kaiser (and make yourself some cash!), I am led to believe that if you sign up and specify the original TyTN as your device, it will all work fine.

Cha-ching ;)

It installs ok and then every now and then when it tries to send data to mobilepanel you get a message from the T-Mobile network saying "numbers starting with 07 must be 11 digits in length..." Any idea how to fix this? We get the same error on other windows mobile 6 devices on T-Mobile.

Same problem here, installs OK and then network messages about 11 digit phone numbers. The MMetrics control panel says the software is inactive.

Im also on Tmobile UK.

Paul can you investigate further please?

This seems to be working now and I haven't done anything to the TyTN II.

I ended up emailing Smart M:Panel as Paul hadn't postted a follow up. They replied saying I was active and everything looked OK. I checked the M:Metrics icon and low and behold it showed me as "Active" and confirmed my last upload.

I've seen the last upload date change now and I've stopped getting the network message from Tmobile UK regarding 11 digit phone numbers for texts.

Artax, do you still have problems with this?

Mike

I wonder if Smart M:Panel did something without letting on.

Looking into it peeps!

Well the number problem may be solved but I have removed as now the International texting is back . On a daily basis if I kept the software on it would work out at £10/month spent for £5 earned. I did email them but have had no reply.

Hmm, am new to this, was going to install but now unsure. Does this mean they are making your phone send texts internationally, so you rack up your phone bill?

Eanring £5 a month for doing nothing did look to good to be true ;)

I'd like to know this too... my number has ported over now, so if there really is no catch, I'd sign up...

EDIT: Never mind, I've risked it.
