Well you'll be about to lock it by tapping the power button like on any PPC. I seem to remember seeing it lock automagically when it slid closed though (but after the wifi fiasco don't hold me to that! 
)

It'll probably have a lock button option on the today screen, or hold down the end-call key and it should lock for you.

It locks on slide.
or you can set the lock to 'hold red button'

You can set the Long Press End key in the setting to lock the device manually. Just press and hold the red key for a while.
