Creating custom installations/images to deploy to a PDA

Hi

I think this is the right place to put this? Anyway, i've been set a task at work to find a way of being able to create an "image" that we can ghost onto around 30 PDA's. After a few days of googling i havent been able to find anything that could help me out, software wise or even a script/custom installation files i'd need to create.

Here is what i'll need to be able to do:

*Automatically install apps to a PDA. As far as i know the apps will be, TomTom, Service Director and email.(Which should already be in WM5, just need configuring.)

*Put the apps in the fatory reset section so that when we reset the unit, the apps are automatically installed.(If this is even possible, although i understand email and the like will have to be setup individually.)

Will any of this be possible? Or will it just be a case of setting each one up individually? The PDA in question is the XDA Argon which runs WM5. If you need anymore info, let me know.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Andy. ;)

It is but let's see if I can't bump it up for you :(

you need to make your own extended rom (I think) in the same way that operators install their customisations when you first turn the device on (or after hard-reset)

I think that's the thoery anyway, how exactly you go about it is for the real geeks here ;)

If you still don't get an answer here then you could try the xda-developers website
