My company PC has just been upgraded to XP SP2 from SP1 (yes, I know it's late 2007 but they're bit backward in our IT department!). My Vario was working perfectly before using ActiveSync 4.2.

Following the upgrade when I connect my phone, the PC says that USB device cannot be recognised. I've uninstalled Active Sync and reinstalled Active Sync 4.5 but this has not had any affect.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Just a guess... BUT...

SP2 installs windows firewall...

So check control panel and windows firewall and make sure that all the activesync things are ticked so it gives access to your phone!
