Hi everyone,
Please do not ignore this post as I really need help, My imate sp5 battery lasts for just one day no matter how much I talk or listen to music. I have left the phone unused for one day but the result was the same. Wi-Fi , bluetooth and "receive incoming beam" options are off and the backlight time is set to minimum. I placed the battery on my old sp3i and its last for 4 days. I saw some other topics on this subject with no real reply. Is there some kind expert to help?

This looks like you should get a new battery.

Have you set it to poll your email servers a lot or are you using some other data enabled app in the background?

Thank you jimbouk, the only programs I use in background are "don't forget" and "automatic key lock", i have also installed a Rss reader but it doesnt seem to run in background, the backlight in homescreens seems to stay on too long comaring with my old sp3i, can I do anything about it?

Thank you but I placed the battery on my other smartphone (sp3i) and it just works fine.

Are you sure the RSS reader isnt connecting to check for news?

And how often is your email set to check for new items?

Thank you very much Jimbouk . I have uninstalled the reader and the problem is seem to be solved. I just dont know how to thank you for your help.
