Right -- did it!

Avoided the T-Mob customisation and used the TMobileFixed cab to get it all up and running.

Great!

I even managed to find the 6-tab HTC Home application (which works very well), and duttythroy's Windows Live cab. Skype seems to work a bit better than it did with WM5 and the RealPlayer cab has installed too (although the volume level set seems to override that available to WMP).

Great!

Well, sort of. I can't get a 'passthrough' internet connection via ActiveSync4.5 no matter how I set the connection (automatic or internet). Has anyone else had this issue? It's not the end of the world, but was handy to have. Could this be related to the 'Allow wireless connection...' setting when Sync'd?

I've posted the TMobileFixed cab in case anone else needs it.

:D
To answer my own question ( :( ) - no, it isn't related :D
It makes no difference either way.

The other thing I've noticed - I can't get the mobile YouTube site to work. It worked fine before the upgrade and now the videos link doesn't want to open the StreamingMedia app at all. I installed the T-Mo fix for audio problems with the StreamingMedia app.

Any suggestions?

Is it a codec issue? If the program doesnt recognise a codec or file format then it wont open it, well thats how it works on my laptop. Maybe the new Streaming media does not come complete with the right codec.

It's a possibility I guess. I can't recall having installed any specific codec to make the StreamingMedia app work with Mobile YouTube on the old WM5 OS but I could try to retrace my steps.

Food for thought....

So the link doesn't open the streaming media app? Sounds like an associated problem in the registry then...

It's not included in this ROM, in any case MSN / Windows Live also isn't
