Hey,

I went out and bought an 8Gb MicroSD and was able to use it in my Blackjack II without any problem. It had 7.6 Gb free. No installation or anything. Just popped it in and started putting stuff on it. :(

Just thought I'd share, because I know some people may have been wondering (like myself).

The only place I could find them. The Verizon store. :\

Got it for 129.00. I'm sure in a few weeks or a month they'll be cheaper, but I couldn't wait. :(

Samsung told me that bj2 didn't support the HC microSD cards.  If that was the case I told them AT&T shouldn't advertise the 4GB microSD limit because non-HC microSD seems to only come in 2GB or under.  However, that's excellent that you were able to get an 8GB card to work.  What's the brand so we know what to stick with?

Yes - please add some specifics. Did you purchase a 8G microSDHC? I hate to assume since the manufacturers seem to change the limit every other week.

Trying to decide if I will return a 4G microSDHC (wrongly purchased on eCost.com - duh) or just bite the bullet and upgrade to the BJII. If it can use this microSDHC, that might throw me over the edge.

Regards,
Killer

I got a Sandisk 8gb MicroSD card. It says 'HC' right on it. I'm not sure what other details could be provided beyond that, heh. I didn't have to do any type of installation or hacking. I just popped it in and it worked. If you have any other questions, I'll try to answer them but that's the entire experience I've had with it and it's worked without issue since I got it.

I have a new BJII, and I was using the BJ.  I have a 2GB microSD card that I was using in my BJ, and tried to plug it into the new BJII.  The BJII does not seem to recongnize the card.  Has anyone seen this?  I don't believe there is anything wrong with the card.

I had a real difficult time with my first BlackJack and getting it to recognize ANY memory card I put it. Sometimes it would show up, other times it would. It would tell me that I was safe to disonnect it, and then it would tell me that I didnt take it out properly. It drove me nuts. However one day it just started to work like it should and I never had those problems. Good luck!
