I purchased the iGolfGPS software thinking it would work with my BJ2. I downloaded the patch from here for the Com4 port. When I try to run the software my phone tells me "Installation of iGolfGPSv3.arm.CAB was unsuccessful The installation file is not intended for this device."
Shouldn't this work, or am I missing a step. I'd appreciate any GPS help I can get.
I have NOT downloaded Telenav, and I do NOT have my sims card in. Do I need to have my sims card in?

Under the requirements for this software, it lists a "Touch screen".

This means it is designed for windows mobile devices such as the ATT Tilt or other Windows Mobile touch screen devices.  It will not work on non-touch screen devices.  The error you are receiving is not related to GPS or your SIM card.  It is a compatibility issue.

Thank you so much for writing, now I feel like a big duh.  I'll go look for some software that will run GPS w/o a touchscreen, considering that's all I bought this BJ2 for.  Thanks again

Garmin Mobile XT works, but it's not for Golf.

If you want to get the one you paid for working, there is a possibility:

First, you'll need to find the cab file it runs and tries to install with.
Then you'll need to download an application that lets you browse and extract the files from the cab, such as this: http://www.ocpsoftwa...s.php?nm=cabwuz
Then copy all the files to their proper location on your phone.

It'll then be installed, and you can use an application like "SPHelper" to emulate a mouse on your phone.  It's not exactly easy to work with, but it's a possibility.

Thanks ~ I may just give this a try.  In the mean time I did find some software that would work with the phone.  Now I have a challenge before spending more money.  I appreciate your time & you sharing your knowledge to try & make this work.

Which version of Mobile XT works with the BJII?  The only ones I see require an external Garmin Device.

Once you buy an unlock code, it works fine.

What software did you find? Does it give Golf Caddie type info?
